Kubbra Sait To Play Surpanakha In Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana? Deets Inside
Kubbra Sait rose to fame with her prominent role in Netflix’s Sacred Games. She has now auditioned for Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana.

Nitesh Tiwari’s much-anticipated film Ramayana has been creating a lot of buzz among audiences. Reports have suggested that Ranbir Kapoor will star as Lord Ram while Sai Pallavi and Yash have been roped in for the role of Sita and Ravana. Now, another interesting piece of news has surfaced and it is sure to make fans of Kubbra Sait super excited. Yes, the actress is said to have auctioned for the role of Ravana’s sister, Surpanakha.

According to an exclusive report by IndiaToday.in, Kubbra Sait has auditioned for Surpanakha’s role and is hoping to get a reply from the makers. Sources with the portal revealed that it is not yet confirmed whether the actress has been locked for the character.

Kubbra Sait rose to fame with her prominent role in Netflix’s Sacred Games. The actress, who has mostly played powerful characters, had earlier told ETimes, “I’ve been fortunate to have not been typecast in my roles on screen. My first movie was with Salman Khan, Ready, in which I played the role of a maid. After that, I played Cuckoo in Sacred Games. Now, I’m grateful people associate me with strong characters, and if that’s a stereotype, I will gladly take it in my stride.”

Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor is said to kickstart the shooting for Ramayana in March this year. Some reports have also claimed that Bobby Deol has been reached out to play the character of Kumbhakarna in the Nitesh Tiwari directorial. However, as per the entertainment portal, the actor is not part of the mythological drama.

Ranbir Kapoor’s last film Animal also had Bobby Deol in it. The actor’s performance in the Sandeep Reddy Vanga flick was widely appreciated and this has somewhat set the audience’s expectations high.

As per reports, Ramayana will be released in mid-2025 and Ranbir Kapoor will begin filming for the movie on March 20. Helmed by Nitesh Tiwari, the mythological film will also star Arun Govil as Dashrath and Gurfateh Pirzada will be seen playing the character of Lakshman.
