Assam Assistant Teacher Recruitment 2023: Registration For 5,500 Posts Begin, Salary up to Rs 70,000

The Directorate of Elementary Education (DEE), Assam is seeking online applications for the position of Assistant Teacher. Interested and eligible candidates can go to the official website of DEE Assam at dee.assam.gov.in and submit their applications. The registration window opened on January 2 and the last date to submit the applications is until February 2, 2024.

This recruitment initiative is conducted to fill a total of 5,500 positions within the organisation. The breakdown of vacancies according to the respective posts is — 3,800 posts for Assistant Teachers in Lower Primary Schools and 1,750 vacant posts for Assistant Teachers, Science Teachers, and Hindi Teachers in Upper Primary Schools. Selected candidates will be hired in pay band-2 (PB-2) with a salary ranging from Rs 14,000 to Rs 70,000.

Assam Teacher Recruitment 2023:Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit: Candidates should be a minimum of 18 years old. However, the maximum age should not exceed 40 years for the unreserved category, 42 years for ex-servicemen, 43 years for Other Backward Class (OBC)/ Minorities and Other Backward Classes (MOBC), 45 years for Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe(P)/ST(H), and 50 years for persons with disabilities (PwBD) as of January 1, 2023.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed the Assam TET or CTET to be eligible for the aforementioned posts. Those who have qualified the ATET or CTET for LP and UP are qualified to apply.

Step 7: Upload the scanned documents through DigiLocker and submit.

Candidates should be aware that in the current Assam teacher recruitment drive, there will be a 3 per cent reservation for Adivasi and Tea Tribes populations inside the existing 27 per cent quota for Other Backward Class (OBC)/ Minorities and Other Backward Classes (MOBC) communities.
