IAS, IPS and PCS officers are often in the news for their ways of working. Some have been in the news for their noble work or some have been part of some controversy. One such act that grabbed the attention of people has happened in the Fatehpur district. DM C. Indhumathy of Fatehpur district of Uttar Pradesh slapped a complainant and reprimanded him saying, ‘Can’t you see, I am standing here and you are pushing me ahead’. On Monday, DM C. Indhumathy suddenly arrived to inspect the DUDA office. She was accompanied by ADM (Administration) Avnish Tripathi, ADM (Finance) Vinay Pathak and SDM Sadar. The officers first visited the sub-registrar office and DUDA office. The sudden arrival of the DM caused chaos in the offices. The DM checked the old documents in the sub-registrar office.
An FIR has also been lodged against Atul Shukla, the person who was slapped under section 352. Section 352 is related to serious provocation, assault or criminal force. Another FIR has been registered against him for tampering with confidential records. Along with this, FIR has also been registered against Lovelesh, Abhishek and Ashutosh. Both the FIRs have been lodged in Fatehpur’s Kotwali police station and are done by Dinesh Chandra Soni and Siddharth Pratap Singh.
In 2012, IAS Officer C. Indhumathy attempted for UPSC for the fifth time and secured the 151stt rank. She is a resident of Poolampatti village in Tamil Nadu. Born on 1 October 1984, C Indumati has done engineering. Between 2016 and 2017, C Indumati has also been the Chief Development Officer of Fatehpur district. She appeared for the UPSC Civil Services Examination for the first time in the year 2007. Since then, her mission to become an IAS Officer continued. She failed several times in this examination but did not get discouraged. She finally cracked the exam on her fifth attempt.
DM C. Indhumathy, who hails from Madurai in Tamil Nadu, received her schooling from Jeevan School in the city of Ponmeni. After this, she completed her engineering (EEE) from K.L.N. College of Information Technology in the year 2006. According to the Appointment and Personnel Department of the UP government, IAS C. Indhumathy’s first posting was in Bareilly as a district training. After this, she held the post of Joint Magistrate in Saharanpur. Indhumathy has previously worked as CDO i.e. Chief Development Officer in Fatehpur. She has held important positions in many departments in UP. After this, she got the command of Fatehpur district in the year 2023.
