Teachers’ Day or Shikshak Divas is commemorated annually on September 5 to honour the invaluable contributions of educators and our gurus in shaping the future of the nation and students. The day is also celebrated to mark the birth anniversary of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a distinguished philosopher, a Bharat Ratna recipient and independent India’s second President, who was also a renowned teacher.
