Bhumi Pednekar on Partying With Nick Jonas in Mumbai: 'He Called Priyanka Chopra And...' | Exclusive

Nick Jonas and his fellow Jonas Brothers band members, Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas, were in Mumbai to perform for the first time as part of Lollapalooza 2024. Following their performance, the trio made their way to Natasha Poonawalla’s house for an after-party. It was attended by Bhumi Pednekar, among others. In an exclusive chat with News18 Showsha, Bhumi spilled the beans on the party and revealed that Priyanka Chopra was a part of the party via a video call.

“Actually we did (video call Priyanka),” Bhumi said before adding, “They were speaking to each other and look, I am her fan, the world knows that. So I had like a quick moment in which I was like ‘Hiiii’. I get so excited by her because she again is such a strong voice for what I stand as well. I think she is just a cool person,” the actress added.

Bhumi also revealed she attended the Jonas Brothers concert and was all praise for the band. “The concert was phenomenal and they have been so aspirational since our teenage years, you know, Jonas Brothers as a band and them doing this in India for the first time, it was so cool. We all had to make sure they had a good, good concert,” she said.

The actress was recently seen in Bhakshak. Bhumi’s performance has been lauded by critics and audiences. In a separate chat about the film, Bhumi revealed she received a call from Shah Rukh once the shoot of the film ended. The actor, who produced the film under his banner Red Chillies Entertainment, called her to thank her for being a part of the film.

“The day we wrapped up the film, I remember I was eating dinner and I was like, ‘oh the film is done.’ There was going to be a get-together party and we were in Lucknow and I got a call from Shah Rukh sir and, you know, he’s such a gracious man. He just called me to thank me (for doing the film) and I’m like dude you’re Shah Rukh Khan,” Bhumi said.

“Kudos to Red Chillies for supporting this film. They supported this film right away. They saw the material and this is a story we should present by our platform. Kudos to Netflix for taking a film like this,” she added. Bhakshak marks Bhumi’s first collaboration with Shah Rukh. Ask her if she hopes to star in a film with him, she said, “It is my biggest manifestation since I was a child. So I really, really hope.” She added that she’d like to star in a romantic film with him.
