Sannata raita is made with yoghurt and several spices. This unique dish has a watery consistency and is rich in flavour. Commonly found in Uttar Pradesh, it is considered good for relieving stomach pain and indigestion. An easy and traditional recipe for Sannata Raita was given by a food blogger on Instagram.

To make this refreshing dish, take an earthen pot and fill it with 400 grams of curd. Whisk this until it has a smooth texture. Once you get the desired texture, add salt, red chilli, and chopped green chilli in the pot. Make sure to combine them well. Then add about 400 ml of water and whisk it. Similar to traditional raitas, boondi is added to the mixture. Now place a small earthen pot over a flame and add mustard oil, asafoetida, and cumin. Take a tong and lift the pot, then place it inside the bigger pot that has the mixture. The spiced oil will gradually mix with the curd mixture, giving it flavour. Make sure to cover the raita for some time. Then lift the smaller pot and combine the raita well before serving.
