Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds has sent out a transfer plea to Mohammed Salah, urging the Liverpool star to join his club, Wrexham. The topic emerged in a promotional interview for the upcoming movie Deadpool & Wolverine. Reynolds was accompanied by his co-actor, Hugh Jackman, during a chat with the official channel of the Premier League.
Jackman was referring to the common qualities between him and Salah when Reynolds intervened. He looked directly into the camera and said, “Ryan Reynolds, co-chairman of Wrexham AFC. Mo, you would be warmly embraced at the Racecourse Ground in North Wales. Think about it.”
A clip of the interview was shared on the official X account of the Premier League.

The video begins with Jackman discussing why his career can be compared with that of Salah. The veteran actor admitted that it was an honour to have his name taken alongside the Liverpool legend.
“Mo Salah, I mean, to be even in the same sentence as you is incredibly cool, and I went to see you, by the way, while we were filming playing against Crystal Palace. And I think you are awesome, and I think you are amazing, and please respond to my DMs,” Jackman was heard saying in the clip.
The post attracted hilarious reactions from some Premier League fans, who could not imagine seeing Salah in the Wrexham shirt in the future. Liverpool’s official account for the United States also responded to the video and commented, “We’ll try to put in a good word for you, Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds, keep your hands off of him.”

Speaking of Salah, the Egyptian is set to spearhead the Liverpool forward line in the era of newly appointed boss Arne Slot. Salah’s future at the club beyond this season, however, is still not a guarantee. His current contract with the Reds expires in 2025, and the club has yet to announce anything about extending his stay at Anfield.
