American television channel FX has released the trailer for American Horror Story: Delicate’s second instalment. The venerable horror anthology is in its twelfth season. Part 2 starring Emma Roberts and Kim Kardashian, will debut on the network on April 3 and be streamed on Hulu the following day.
Things are about to become a lot worse for Emma Roberts’ character Anna Victoria Alcott in the forthcoming final episodes as she finds herself devouring bones and coping with extra spider babies. Based on Danielle Valentine’s 2023 book Delicate Condition, Anna has unintentionally become the target of a Satanic cult with objectives involving her unborn child.
We can also see Anna and Siobhan Corbyn (Kim Kardashian) sharing a kiss in one scene. And in another scene, Siobhan is seen slapping Anna on her face. Additionally, we watch Anna learn some sinister details about her publicist, Siobhan.
Anna tells Siobhan, “You’re a monster,” to which she responds, “Oh no, babe. I’m so much worse.”
Due to the simultaneous Hollywood strikes in 2023, Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk’s popular horror anthology was divided into two parts. The first five episodes of the show came to an end in October 2023 and starting on April 3, the remaining four episodes will air weekly.
Throughout the early part of the season, Anna struggled to balance her desire for a family with her ambition to become an Oscar-winning actress. In the most recent trailer, Anna confesses to Siobhan that she will sacrifice “anything” to get stardom.
The teaser culminates with just the right amount of gore and blood, before ultimately revealing Kardashian as the antagonist fans may have anticipated—even though her closest friend Anna was kept in the dark.
Cara Delevingne, Matt Czuchry, Billie Lourd, Denis O’Hare, Leslie Grossman, and Michaela Jaé Rodriguez are among the other actors starring in American Horror Story: Delicate.
In an earlier interview with Entertainment Weekly, Valentine described her work as “essentially a horror novel about pregnancy.”
She went on to say that the book explores a variety of topics, including the symptoms that she believes our culture still avoids discussing for odd reasons, medical gaslighting that even contemporary, extremely affluent women encounter during their pregnancies and the actual physical gory nature of pregnancy.
