Kathmandu: Two persons who were arrested in connection with the serial blasts in Mumbai were on Monday handed over to Indian authorities for investigations.

They were arrested from Hotel Jagat in Jyatha on Wednesday, national daily The Himalayan Post said.

"The two persons - Asim Ali and Waled - were taken to India through Bhairahawa route and were handed over to the Indian police under the supervision of the INTERPOL," the daily said.

Nepal Police was given names of six suspects by the Indian Police in connection with the Mumbai blasts, it said adding police is said to be searching for other two suspects in the case.

However, Superintendent of Police, Kathmandu, Dhak Bahadur Karki denied the reports saying they have not arrested anyone in connection with the Mumbai blasts.

"Police on the same day arrested Gulam Hussain Chima and Aftab Huhaiddin Siddiqui from Five Star Hotel Everest in connection with a five-year-old RDX case," he said.

"They are being interrogated. So far there is no evidence that links them to the Mumbai blast case," Karki added.
