BOUDH: A polling agent of Congress and another party worker were allegedly dragged out of the Roxa booth under Boudh zone 4 and assaulted by BJD workers during the second phase polling on Monday. Agent Magikhia Taria (55) and Hazaru Taria were admitted to Sonepur hospital and then shifted to VSS Medical at Burla. As per reports, BJD workers barged into the booth that had been declared sensitive and allegedly forced some voters to exercise their franchise in support of the BJD candidate. This was protested by Magikhia and Hazaru. Irked, the BJD workers dragged them outside the booth and beat them up. Receiving information, Boudh Sub-Collector Udaynath Das and police rushed to the spot. Around 80 per cent polling was recorded in the booth even as Congress alleged booth-capturing.
