Fort Kochi worst-hit

KOCHI: Though major developmental projects are happening in Kochi, the state of the potable water pipes in the city remains as pathetic as before. “A majority of pipelines in West Kochi region are liable to break if corrective steps are not taken immediately. Areas in Pattalam, Kunnupuram and Vadathazha are always affected when there is a leakage in the water pipes”. “Sometimes, there is no water for days. Even the pumping is not properly done at times. In spite of approaching the authorities concerned, nobody seems to care about the issue,” Fort Kochi councillor Antony Kureethara said.
