People burst out of laughter after watching the video. Many of them also said that this money reminded them of Lord Hanuman from Ramayan.
The video was taken at the sacred site of Savadatti Yellamma Hill located in the Belagavi district of Karnataka. A monkey was reportedly spotted carrying a children’s toy mace on its shoulder. The locals were surprised after spotting the monkey. Many people said that the money looked like Lord Hanuman.
The monkey was seen leaping from one tree to another holding the mace. At times it was seen holding it in his mouth and at other times on its shoulder. According to a report by Local 18, the video was captured on a mobile phone by a teacher named Chandrashekar Wali.
While some found the monkey’s antics amusing, others were amazed by its Lord Hanuman-like behaviour. This video has reportedly gone viral attracting widespread attention in the Belagavi area.
There is a famous temple named Yellamma Temple located in the place where this incident took place. The idol of goddess Yellamma is placed inside the temple. This place is considered to be very sacred by the people. Thousand of pilgrims visit this temple every year to take blessings. The temple was reportedly built in 1514 by Bomappa Nayaka of Raybag. Special festivals and rituals are held at the temple twice a year from October to April. The festival attracts a huge amount of crowd from across the country.
