Indian colts clinch ODI series
England were bowled out for just 164 runs in 44.5 overs and the Indians romped home in 29.2 overs with the loss of one wicket.

London: India U-19 seamer V Yo Mahesh struck a hat-trick while Ishant Sharma choked their England counterparts to help the visitors to a series clinching nine-wicket win in their second One-Dayer at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff.

The tourists thus took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series after winning the opening match of the series by 41 runs.

Yo Mahesh (3-30) cleaned up the tail while Delhi's Sharma (3-29) shattered the stumps of three top order batsmen to pack off the hosts for a mere 164 runs in 44.5 overs to put paid to their advantage of winning the toss.

In reply, openers Uday Kaul (58) and Parvez Aziz (79) stitched a 125-run stand to end any hopes the hosts might have had to come back into the match.

India 'A' romped home in 29.2 overs with the loss of one wicket.

Left-arm seamer Ishant provided the right start by dismissing openers Varun Chopra and Moeen Ali. The in-form skipper Chopra was sent back with just six runs on the board and the hosts could never recover from the setback.

Sumit Sharma, Shahbaz Nadeem, Abu Nechim Ahmed and Ravi Teja got a wicket apiece before Yo Mahesh polished off the tail.

He got rid of wicketkeeper Paul Dixey, Andrew Miller and last man Steven Finn to complete a hat-trick and return with an impressive figure of three for 29 in 5.5 overs.

For the Indians, Kaul hit a strokeful 58 off 85 balls that included seven boundaries while Aziz blasted 79 off 55 deliveries with the help of 15 fours.
