MRPS men climb AIR tower

HYDERABAD: Two activists of Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) on Saturday climbed atop the tower on the All India Radio (AIR) office premises and threatened to jump to death demanding introduction of a bill on SC categorisation in the current session of Parliament. The duo demanded that the Congress government send an all-party delegation to Delhi to prevail upon the Central Government to introduce the bill on SC categorisation in the winter session.With the Assembly session going on nearby, the police who were on tenterhooks, tried to persuade them to climb down, but in vain. The duo are still on the tower when reports last came in.
