PESO office raided, documents seized

KOCHI: The Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI) conducted raid in the Petroleum and Explosive Safety Organisation (PESO) office at Kakkanad on Friday. The raid was conducted after receiving information about irregularities in the functioning of the organisation. The CBI officials have seized some documents from the office.According to CBI sources, the raid was conducted after information was received over irregularities and corruptions in the functioning of PESO. But CBI haven’t found anything unusual in the functionings of the Office. Action will be taken if any evidence of corruption is found after inspection of the documents seized, a top CBI official said.
