Police to arrange alternative vehicles

TRIPUNITHURA: The police will make special arrangements to face the token strike declared by the private bus workers in Tripunithura and nearby areas on Friday. “Shuttle services will be operated between Tripunithura and Eroor. Police vehicles at the AR Camp will be arranged for this,” said Hill Palace Sub-Inspector P R Santhosh.The police termed the allegations raised by the bus union leaders regarding the arrest and torture of a bus conductor as baseless. “Though we arrested the conductor based on a complaint filed by Shilpa, a medical student, he was released on bail later,” he said.“Complaints regarding misbehaviour of private bus workers, especially towards women and the aged, are on the rise. Moreover, the same conductor was involved in another case related to a clash between the workers of two buses. More number of KSRTC buses will also be arranged on Friday,” he said.
