New Delhi: At least 250 of the 271 young people arrested in a rave party in Pune last month had consumed banned drugs.
Pune Rural Police on Saturday announced that 250 blood samples which had been collected have tested positive for drugs.
Police officials added that the decision on the action to be taken against the ones whose samples tested positive will be known by this evening.
They had arrested the youths in a pre-dawn raid at a rave party near the outskirts of the city on March 4. All those arrested in the raid were booked under the NDPS Act and Foreigners Act.
"In today's raid, which comes close on the heels of three similar operations, seven foreigners from countries such as Germany, Iran and Palestine have also been arrested," PTI quoted District Superintendent of Police Vishwas Nagare Patil saying on March 4.
The youngsters, mostly college-going students, had come from different parts of the country after receiving invites on a social networking website.
