'Right to Reject' on campaign agenda: Bedi
Kiran Bedi said that the anti-corruption campaign's next step will be to demand the inclusion of a 'Right to Reject' button in EVM machines.

Mathura: Team Anna member Kiran Bedi on Tuesday said that the anti-corruption campaign's next step will be to demand the inclusion of a 'Right to Reject' button in EVM machines.

"The situation changed fast in the nation after Emergency was imposed. The system has become such that those who want to remain honest have to pay a heavy price," she claimed.

If they do not like the candidates, voters can record their disapproval by entering their names into 17 A register available with the polling official under Rule 49-0, she said, adding that this will add pressure for such a right to be accepted by the Election Commission and the government in the long-term.

Bedi was among Team Anna members, including Manish Sisodia that held meetings at various locations here to raise awareness among voters of their rights during the ongoing elections.
