New Delhi: A daughter-in-law of the Panna royal family has been sentenced to six months' imprisonment for beating up her mother-in-law and three months' imprisonment for assaulting her sister-in-law in Chhatarpur in Madhya Pradesh.

Judicial Magistrate A K Pandey handed down the concurrent prison terms under different sections of the IPC to Jiteshwari Devi, wife of Yuvraj Raghvendra Singh.

A fine of Rs 200 was imposed on her in both the cases. Jiteshwari has expressed her intention to seek bail and appeal in a higher court in regard to the case.
