Two women found dead

NAMAKKAL: In a gruesome incident,  two women, including a doctor, were found dead with their throats slit, while another woman from the same family, who too was brutally assaulted by the killers, is battling for life in a private hospital here.Police sources said that R Visalakshi (88) and her grand daughter B Sindhu (33), a doctor, were killed in broad daylight at Mullai Nagar here on Thursday. While Visalakshi body was found in the bedroom, Sindhu was found in a pool of blood in the dining hall.  Neighbours came to know about it only when the injured woman, T Sathyavathi, mother of Sindhu, knocked on the door next.  “Sathyavathi knocked on the door around 4 pm and was heavily bleeding. She was so grievously hurt that she could not utter even a word. She was rushed to the  a Hospital. SP Pravesh Kumar said that though prima facie it appeared to be ‘murder for gain’, it was not confirmed.”
