BTS member Suga’s controversial DUI case has been stirring a lot of buzz over time. Despite a genuine apology from the K-pop idol and having paid a hefty fine, Suga continues to face a significant amount of hatred online. In the latest development, a section of anti-Suga ended up sending funeral wreaths to the HYBE headquarters (BTS agency), demanding his removal from the group. As per Korean law, sending wreaths to a living person is reportedly considered a death threat and is illegal.
However, it seems like the haters aren’t satisfied with just the wreaths. Taking further steps, one of them recently posted a story, claiming that if she could send wreaths, then she could also kill him.

While the anti-fans continue to show their intense protest against Suga, the ARMYs have also come together to show their support. In one of the pictures going viral, a group of fans could be seen forming a “purple ribbon” in front of the wreaths, while others have even arranged for trucks to play Suga’s song. Pictures and videos of the demonstrations have surfaced on the internet.

Meanwhile, the BTS agency has confirmed that the wreaths have been taken down, following the expiration of the permitted time. It is worth mentioning that such anti-fan activities often leave a greater impact on the artists. Earlier, similar wreaths were sent outside the SM Entertainment office after RIIZE’s Seughan got embroiled in a major controversy over leaked photos with a woman.
While the agency recently announced his much-awaited comeback to group activities, not all fans were happy about it. As a result, the singer eventually announced his decision to depart from the group to protect his fans as well as his fellow members.

So Far In Suga’s DUI Case
Following his arrest for driving an e-scooter in an intoxicated state on August 6 in Seoul, Suga issued an official apology. “I violated the traffic laws, thinking that it was close distance and not realising that it is not allowed to ride an e-scooter after drinking. I bow my head and apologise to everyone,” he said in a statement.
After months of investigation, the case is almost nearing closure, as the BTS member has been fined 15 million won (Rs 9.5 lakh) in the case.
