Adhyayan Suman Almost Slaps Manisha Koirala In Heeramandi, Her Reaction Breaks Internet; Watch

Manisha Koirala has the internet bowing down to her following her performance in Heeramandi. The actress reunited with Sanjay Leela Bhansali after over two decades to play one of the leads in his debut web series. Manisha plays the role of a badass courtesan, Mallikajaan. Although fans have praised her performance throughout the series, one scene featuring her and Adhyayan Suman has fans talking.

In a scene from the series surfaced on X, Manisha and Adhyayan are seen having a show down. In the scene, Adhyayan is dressed as a groom and insulting Manisha. “You’re very proud of your lineage, aren’t you, Zorawar? Then listen. You are a lowborn, your lineage traces back to a brothel, your blood is that of a tawaif, you are the illegitimate child of a tawaif. You are Mallikajaan’s illegitimate child,” she says in the scene. Angry by the confession, Adhyayan’s character attempted to slap her when she stops him and educates him to be a real man who respects women.

The scene has gone viral on social media with many praising Manisha and the writing.

News18 Showsha also praised Manisha’s performance in its Heeramandi review. Giving the series a 4.5 star rating, the review read, “Manisha Koirala returns to the screen and essays the unyielding and authoritative Mallikajaan with a lot of finesse and heart. She’s easily the scene-stealer and to watch her revelling in a grey character after playing an array of vulnerable woman is a treat to the eyes.”

The review also praised Sonakshi Sinha. “She is stunning, shrewd and sardonic. And she fears no one. She single-handedly fights a battle to win justice for her late mother and has no qualms about walking on the path of vices for the same. At the end, the women are all so much more than just tawaifs. Ambition is their eternal companion and they use their beauty as a weapon to lure men into their beds and when the right time comes, render them powerless.”
