Arbaaz Khan was among the first to reach Anil Mehta's residence yesterday. He was seen arriving for his last rites ceremony today.

Malaika Arora’s father, Anil Mehta’s last rites are being held today, September 12 in Mumbai. Malaika’s ex-husband, Arbaaz Khan reached to pay his last respects to Anil Mehta. Arbaaz was accompanied by his wife, Sshura Khan.

Dressed in white, Arbaaz and Sshura made their way to Anil Mehta’s last rites. In one of the paparazzi videos, Arbaaz can be seen with a bothered, grim expression on his face. Anil Mehta’s death by suicide yesterday has left the family in shock.

Sohail Khan was also seen arriving for the funeral soon after. Dressed in black, the actor kept his head down as he made his way to pay his last respects to Anil Mehta.

Arbaaz Khan was among the first ones to arrive at Anil’s residence when the news of his tragic passing broke. His father Salim Khan, mother Salma Khan, brother Sohail Khan and sister Alvira Agnihotri were also seen rushing to Ayesha Manor, where Anil lived with Joyce.

Anil Mehta allegedly died by suicide on Wednesday morning. News18 has learned that the post-mortem was conducted on Wednesday night at around 8 pm. An insider revealed that the report has cited ‘multiple injuries’ as Mehta’s cause of death. More details are awaited.

Earlier today, Malika Arora and her son Arhaan Khan were seen leaving for the last rites ceremony. They also tried to comfort an inconsolable Joyce Polycarp. Amrita Arora and her family also made their way to the ceremony earlier today.

Last night, Malaika issued an official statement and sought for privacy from the media and well-wishers during this difficult time. “We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our dear father, Anil Mehta. He was a gentle soul, a devoted grandfather, a loving husband, and our best friend. Our family is in deep shock by this loss, and we kindly request privacy from the media and well-wishers during this difficult time. We appreciate your understanding, support, and respect,” the statement read.
