BLACKPINK’s Rose Sends Coffee Truck To Jisoo On Sets Of Her New Film

BLACKPINK member Rose recently expressed her support for fellow group member Jisoo by sending a coffee truck to the set of her latest movie. Currently filming the movie adaptation of the popular webtoon Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint, Jisoo shared her gratitude on Instagram stories. She posted a photo in front of the coffee truck with a banner that read, “Please take good care of our Jisoo-nie. ‘Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint,’ hit the jackpot!" In her caption, Jisoo thanked Rose for the thoughtful gesture, stating, “Thanks to my beloved Chaeng-squirrel, I felt secure during filming. Let’s go, ‘Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint.'"

Jisoo also shared a photo that showed the stickers that came with special coffee cups. The sticker had a photo of Rose and Jisoo and said, “Ross is rooting for ‘Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint’!"

The shooting of Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint began back in December. The adaption has an ensemble cast of Jisoo, Lee Min-ho, Ahn Hyo-seop, Shin Seung-ho, and Chae Soo-bin amongst other Korean actors. The fantasy film is about Kim Dok-ja (played by Ahn Hyo-seop), an ordinary office worker who realises that his favourite novel Three Ways to Survive in a Ruined World, is unfolding in real life. In the film, Jisoo will be playing Lee Jihye, a fighter who helps the protagonist overcome the unfolding apocalypse.

Currently, all four Blackpink members are busy with their individual projects. Last year in September they wrapped up their sold-out Born Pink World Tour after playing 66 concerts around the world. Since then, the supergroup has paused their group activities.

Back in 2021, BTS‘s J-Hope showed his support for his group member Suga by sending a coffee truck on the set of the Daechwita music video. What made this coffee truck hilarious was the comical photos of J-Hope and Suga plastered on the truck. The truck also had many pictures of J-Hope and Suga together. Reacting to these, Suga said, “We look like a couple", much to the amusement of the crew on the set.

In South Korea, fan groups and even individuals often send coffee trucks to shoot locations to show their support for a project. The trucks supply drinks to the whole crew for the duration of the shooting. While sometimes celebrities acknowledge such coffee trucks by sharing pictures of them or accepting drinks from them, often agencies prevent fans from sending the trucks for safety issues.
