Cooku With Comali Season 5: Celebrity Contestants Revealed, Fans Excited For Culinary Shenanigans

Cooku With Comali is one of the most humorous culinary reality shows in the Tamil entertainment industry. The show airs on Vijay TV and has garnered a lot of fame over the years for its entertaining content. Now, Vijay Television has unveiled a promo revealing the names of the contestants who will participate in season 5 of Cooku With Comali. The promo shows the participants taking entry on the sets and acknowledging the fans and their fellow counterparts. The contestants are YouTuber and food blogger Mohamed Irfan, Pandian Store actor Vasanth Vasi and actress Priyanka Deshpande. Renowned comedian VTV Ganesh and actress Sujitha are also a part of this show.

These contestants were rumoured to be a part of the show a long time back but till then, there was no official confirmation about it. Now, however, with the unveiling of this promo, the names have been given an official confirmation. Composer Srikanth Deva’s name, however, was missing in the promo. The reasons behind this are not disclosed in the public domain.

While these names are expected to generate a significant buzz for the show, Chef Venkatesh Bhat’s absence is going to disappoint the others. After judging the immensely popular show for a long time, Bhat has announced that he will no longer be associated with the show from season 5. He expressed gratitude for the enriching journey and highlighted the joy the show has brought millions of viewers. He, however, hinted at the desire to explore new avenues, marking a temporary sabbatical from Cooku With Comali.

While Bhat’s stint with the show remained a successful one, there was one controversial decision that courted criticism for him. In season 4 of this show, actress Sivaangi Krishnakumar’s advancement to the finals received severe backlash from the viewers. As per the reports, Bhatt broke his silence on this criticism and said, “Although we (he and Sivaangi) share a great bond, in Cooku With Comali, the main thing is to make a judgment on the contestants’ cooking skills, while personal relationships play a secondary role. Judgment is only given based on their cooking skill.”
