For the event, she was seen wearing a red nauvari saree and a yellow blouse with a picture of Radha Krishna at the back. She completed her Marathi look with a decorative nath (nose ring) and styled her hair in a messy bun. She also shared a video from the event on her Instagram account. Thousands of people thronged to see Gautami. There was a houseful crowd in the event during the Dahi Handi festival. Talking to the media, she said, “I am very happy to have come to Mumbai. The youth is ready to break the curd. This is my second year, thanks to the organisers for inviting me. There are 3 presentations today across Mumbai”.

Dahi Handi is a vibrant and energetic festival celebrated every year on the second day after Janmashtami, which marks the birth of Lord Krishna. The auspicious occasion commemorates Lord Krishna’s love for butter and his mischievous attempts at stealing it as a child.
