Days After Posting Hospital Video, Singer Halsey Reveals She Had 'Very Scary Seizure'

Singer Halsey, known for big hits like Closer and Gasoline, has been quite candid about her health challenges, including her diagnosis of lupus and another rare T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder. Fans were concerned after she shared a video from a hospital room, where she was seen with an IV, accompanied by her fiance Avon Jogia, in another bed.

“Happy Late Bi Visibility Day. This year I’m celebrating by dying with a man by my side (for legal reasons that’s a joke),” she wrote. In the video, the couple wished viewers a Happy Bi Visibility Day, with Halsey adding, “We had a whole plan (for you guys),” as she playfully flashed a peace sign.

The video left her fans very worried, with many enquiring about her health. The singer later clarified the same during a Q&A session on the X. As a fan inquired about her health, she wrote, “I’m home from the hospital now after a few days, so a win is a win!” further even adding that she had a “very scary seizure.”

Many took to the comment section and sent best wishes for her recovery.

In June, Halsey revealed her diagnoses of lupus and the rare T-cell disorder in a shocking post on social media. “In 2022, I was first diagnosed with Lupus SLE and then a rare T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder. Both of which are currently being managed or in remission, and both of which I will likely have for the duration of my life,” she wrote, further noting that the initial phase was challenging, but her doctors have helped her improve.

Halsey has also spoken about other health struggles, including endometriosis, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, Sjögren’s syndrome, mast cell activation syndrome, and POTS.

The singer’s fifth studio album, The Great Impersonator, is all set to release on October 25. She announced the album earlier this month, stating how she made the record in a very challenging space while struggling between life and death.

“And it feels like I’ve waited an eternity for you to have it. I’ll wait a bit longer. I’ve waited a decade, already,” she added.
