Jenifer Garner is reportedly helping Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck to work on their relationship amid the divorce rumours. It is said that JLo is ‘confiding’ in Garner, who was previously married to Affleck for over a decade. Garner and Affleck parted ways in 2018 but are on good terms and continue to co-parent their children.
According to a report by Daily Mail, Jennifer Garner is offering support to Lopez and hoping her relationship with Ben Affleck gets better. “JLo has been confiding in Jen because she knows that she is one of the only people in the world who would understand what she is going through,” a source cited by the entertainment portal claimed.
The insider further claimed that Garner “doesn’t want Ben out of this marriage because she cares about JLo.” “Lopez is the only one who can reach out to Ben and stop him from slipping back into his addiction,” the source added.
Interestingly, this also comes a few days after Garner was spotted visiting the Gone Girl star in the Brentwood neighbourhood, where he is currently staying after moving out of Lopez’s house.
Despite their much-publicised breakup in 2004, J-Lo and Ben evolved over the years, culminating in their rekindled romance and eventual marriage in July 2022.
However, last week, In Touch Weekly reported that Jennifer’s relationship with Ben Affleck has hit a rough patch. A source cited by the entertainment portal claimed, “Ben Affleck has hit a breaking point with Jennifer Lopez and has moved out of the home they share.” “‘The writing is on the wall — it’s over,’ ‘They’re headed for a divorce – and for once, [Ben‘s] not to blame!’” the insider added.
While the reason for their alleged divorce was not reported, it was said that the couple parted ways because “she can’t control him, and he can’t change her”. “He’s focusing on his work and his kids now. Ben already moved out and they’ll likely have to sell the dream house they spent two years searching for. They’ll never stop loving each other, but she can’t control him, and he can’t change her. There’s no way it could have lasted,” the source claimed.
However, Ben and Jennifer have not issued any statement as of now regarding their alleged divorce. Recently, JLo was promoting her upcoming movie Atlas in Mexico when a reporter asked her to address divorce rumours. However, Lopez chose to remain silent and shut down the reporter saying, “You know better than that.”
