Kalabhavan Shajohn-starrer upcoming film CID Ramachandran Retd SI has been making headlines for a long time. The movie was scheduled to hit theatres on May 24. The release date has been changed. The new date is fixed for May 17. The news has now created excitement among the viewers. The movie is an investigation thriller, directed by debutant Sanoop Sathyan. Recently, the makers surprised the viewers and released the official trailer. The trailer featured glimpses, following which it can be said that CID Ramachandran Retd SI is a gripping thriller which revolves around a murder.
From the trailer, it is also known that a woman named Urmila is murdered in mysterious circumstances at her home on the outskirts of Thiruvananthapuram. Shajohn plays the role of an ex-cop, who is in charge of investigating this challenging case even after retirement. The film primarily revolves around how he collects evidence to unlock the mystery behind the murder.
Anumol plays Urmila’s character in the film. The movie also features Baiju Santhosh, Sudheer Karamana, Indrans, VK Baiju and Prem Kumar in supporting roles.
The 2-minute, 13-second trailer was released five days ago and has until now garnered 7,84,033 views on YouTube. Fans showered their feedback in the comment section. CID Ramachandran Retd SI director Sanoop Sathyan has co-written the script with Aneesh V Sivadas. Kaanekkane-fame Joe Christo Xavier is the cinematographer, and Lijo Paul is the editor. The music for the film is composed by Anu, while the background score is given by Anto Francis.
The movie is backed jointly by AD 1877 Pictures and Sense Launch Entertainment and is slated for release on May 17.
