As the vibrant Navratri festival begins, Indians unite to honor Goddess Durga and her nine avatars over a ten-day celebration. This year, the festivities were marked by a high-profile puja ceremony hosted by Kalyan Jewellers in Kochi, drawing numerous celebrities from across the film industry. Stars such as Katrina Kaif, Kriti Sanon, Malaika Arora, Shilpa Shetty, Ajay Devgn, Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, and Saif Ali Khan were in attendance, while Naga Chaitanya made an early appearance representing the South Indian film industry.
Naga Chaitanya’s public appearance came at a time of controversy, as Konda Surekha made allegations involving KT Rama Rao and the N-Convention Centre, owned by Nagarjuna. In a video shared by Manav Manglani, Chaitanya was seen arriving at the Navratri puja in a sophisticated cream-colored kurta with minimalist embroidery and matching churidar pants. His traditional attire, paired with brown leather sandals and dark sunglasses, effortlessly blended elegance with modernity.
Addressing the ongoing personal controversies, Naga Chaitanya has recently responded to Konda Surekha’s claims. He acknowledged the emotional weight of his divorce, saying, “The decision of divorce is easily one of the most painful and unfortunate life decisions one has to make.” He emphasized that the decision was mutual and made with respect and dignity, stating, “It was a decision made in peace, owing to our different life goals.”
Chaitanya strongly refuted Surekha’s accusations, describing them as “false, ridiculous, and unacceptable.” He added, “Women deserve to be supported and respected. Taking advantage and exploiting the personal life decisions of celebrities for the sake of media headlines is shameful.”
Earlier, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Chaitanya’s former spouse, also addressed Surekha’s allegations. In an Instagram post, Samantha expressed the challenges faced by women in the industry and defended her divorce as a private, mutual decision, free from political interference. She urged Surekha to refrain from using her name in political disputes, stating, “My divorce is a personal matter, and I request that you refrain from speculating about it.”
Surekha’s claims, alleging that KT Rama Rao played a role in the couple’s divorce, have sparked controversy. She suggested that Samantha had refused to comply with a political favor, leading to the split. However, both Chaitanya and Samantha have firmly denied any such involvement, maintaining that their divorce was an amicable and private decision.
