Anubhav Sinha’s directorial IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack teaser has been released and it has left all fans and celebrities in awe. Everyone is praising the film and is waiting for it. Rajkummar Rao also took to his social handle and praised his wife Patralekhaa for her next. He mentioned that he could not wait for this. Rajkummar Rao was seen in Bheed directed by Anubhav Sinha.
Taking to his Instagram stories, he shared the teaser and wrote, “Can’t wait for this one. What a great ensemble.” Earlier, Manoj Bajpayee also reacted and wrote, “It seems that You have been up to something really exciting! Quite intriguing!!!” The aviation drama stars Vijay Varma, Naseeruddin Shah, Pankaj Kapur, Arvind Swamy, Patralekhaa and Dia Mirza.

Meanwhile, The Kandahar flight hijack refers to a dramatic incident that took place in December 1999, when Indian Airlines Flight 814 was hijacked by a group of militants. The aircraft, en route from Kathmandu to Delhi, was diverted to Kandahar in Afghanistan after being taken over by the hijackers. The standoff lasted for several days, during which intense negotiations and complex diplomatic maneuvers unfolded.
Anubhav Sinha, known for films such as Mulk, Article 15 and Bheed, had earlier said it was a responsibility to be as authentic as possible while working on the series. “When I started doing research, almost everyone remembers a few things about the hijack, and what all happened during the process. I realised it is a very complex story and a lot of things happened in those seven days and not many people know about it,” he had said at the Next on Netflix event in Mumbai.
On the other hand, Rajkummar Rao is gearing up for his next release Stree 2. Directed by Amar Kaushik, Stree 2 is the highly anticipated sequel to the 2018 blockbuster Stree, which grossed nearly Rs 200 crore worldwide. Since the success of the first film, Maddock Films has expanded the universe with several interconnected movies, the latest being the surprise hit Munjya, which earned Rs 130 crore globally. Stree 2 marks the first direct sequel in the series and brings back the original cast, including Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, and Pankaj Tripathi, with Abhishek Banerjee and Aparshakti Khurana.
