Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have welcomed their first child, a beautiful baby girl. The ecstatic couple took to social media to share the big news with their fans, expressing their overwhelming happiness and gratitude for this new chapter in their lives.
There was a time when Deepika Padukone’s ex, Ranbir Kapoor, had hoped that Deepika and Ranveer Singh would make amazing babies. When Ranbir Kapoor appeared on Koffee With Karan season 5 alongside Deepika’s husband, Ranveer Singh, Karan couldn’t resist bringing up their shared history with Deepika. Asked if things ever got awkward since both dated her, Ranbir shut down the speculation. He pointed out that it’s been over a decade since they broke up and said there’s no reason for anyone to still be concerned.
“We’ve positively moved on in our lives and it’s high time that Koffee with Karan also moves on. Because there’s no elephant, it has disappeared, it is invisible,” Ranbir had said. When Karan Johar asked Ranveer Singh if Ranbir and Deepika’s history ever bothered him, he said it didn’t. “No. Why should it? Should it?” he had rued.
Ranbir then went on to say, “Just the way they are with each other, they complement each other very well. They are in ways perfect to each other’s energies and I am really happy for them and I hope that they can see this through and make some really awesome babies together and I hope their babies like me as an actor and that I am their favourite actor.”
Ranveer’s reaction was priceless when he jokingly called out Ranbir for usually being on point but somehow going off-script that day. Fast forward 8 years since that iconic KWK episode in 2016, and everyone involved has moved on to build their own happy families. Deepika and Ranveer tied the knot in 2018 after six years of dating, while Ranbir married Alia Bhatt in 2022. Now, both couples are proud parents to their little baby girls, and fans can’t stop gushing over them!
