Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor are one of the most loved couples in Bollywood. Their fans are not only curious about their lives but also the lives of their kids Taimur and Jeh. Taimur, especially, has such a huge fan base that people started talking about his Bollywood debut, mere days after his birth. Saif recently addressed this fanfare and said that it is the audience who makes star kids.
Speaking to Film Companion, Saif said, “The audience and people are so interested in star kids. They are constantly being photographed, constantly being followed. I mean tomorrow someone wants to make a movie with one of them it’s not rocket science. So, you have to decide why this attention and where it comes from.”
“Taimur was doing a taekwondo thing and people were photographing him and making reels. So we don’t want that kind of attention… So we don’t make the star kid, the star kid is made. I mean we might make him biologically but what makes the star kid is the press and then the photographers and then the audience who perhaps quite innocently just want to see a star kid,” he added. Kareena added, “You might have a last name but it doesn’t mean you have talent.”
Meanwhile, on the work front, Saif Ali Khan is currently shooting for his upcoming Telugu film Devara, alongside Jr. NTR and Janhvi Kapoor. Saif plays the antagonist in the film. He will also be seen in a Siddharth Anand action film wherein he will time travel to conduct a rescue operation. The director recently said that the heist film is fun and quirky. As for Kareena, she will soon be seen in The Crew with Kriti Sanon and Tabu. The Crew is also said to be a heist film.
