Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja will be moving into the property after its redevelopment.

Sonam Kapoor’s father-in-law Harish Ahuja has purchased a house in London’s Notting Hill. The property is worth £21 million, which is around Rs 231.47 crore, as per a Bloomberg report. Sonam and her husband, Anand Ahuja, will reportedly move in to a part of the property after its redevelopment.

According to the report, the property spans 20,000 square foot and is a short walk from Kensington Gardens. The report mentions that the property was “previously owned by a UK registered charity and religious order”. Harish reportedly purchased the eight-storey convent building in July last year. While Sonam and Anand will move in after the redevelopment, a section of the property will be converted to flats.

Sonam Kapoor has been dividing her time between London and Mumbai since she got married to Anand in 2018. The couple welcomed their son, Vaayu in 2022 and often share glimpses from their life in the UK on social media. In a recent interaction with Architectural Digest, Sonam revealed that she was initially skeptical about moving from Notting Hill to her Mumbai home. However, as she is gearing to make a comeback on the big screen, she has to spend more time in Mumbai.

The actress, who was last seen in Blind, has confirmed that she will be soon facing the camera once again. The shooting will start next year but other details are kept under wraps. Sonam said, “I’m super excited to face the camera again post my pregnancy. I love being an actor and I love living so many interesting characters through my profession. Human beings fascinate me and I love playing varied roles. I’m looking forward to my next.”

“I will return to the sets early next year. Details of this project is currently getting locked so I won’t be able to talk at length till the announcement is made. It’s a big project. That’s all I can say right now,” she added.

Sonam was last seen in the 2023 crime-thriller ‘Blind,’ a remake of the 2011 Korean film of the same name. Directed by Shome Makhija and produced by Sujoy Ghosh, the film marked Sonam’s return to the screen after a six-year break following ‘The Zoya Factor.’
