Srikanth Box Office Day 3: Rajkummar Rao's Film Stays Strong In Its Opening Weekend, Collects Rs 11.95 Crores
Srikanth is based on the indomitable spirit of Srikanth Bolla, an industrialist who defied all odds to carve his own path to success despite facing visual impairment.

Rajkummar Rao starrer Srikanth finally hit theatres on Friday and has been receiving a good response from the audience. It has now been reported that the film earned over Rs 5.25 crore in India on its third day. With this, the total collection of the film after day 3 sums up to Rs 11.7 Cr. The film has managed to have a successful opening weekend.

If a report by Sancilk.com is to be believed, the film had an overall Occupancy of 25.59% in the Hindi market. While morning shows had an occupancy of 14.58%, it increased to over 22.87% during the night time. The afternoon shows had an occupancy of around 28.50%, while the evening shows had over 36.42%. The film also saw the largest audiences in the theatres in Chennai, followed by Bangalore and Pune.

Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh took to his X handle shared “#Srikanth hits double digits in its opening weekend, a creditable number for a mid-sized film… Urban centres – which contribute a major chunk of revenue – are driving its biz… Fri 2.41 cr, Sat 4.26 cr, Sun 5.28 cr. Total: ₹ 11.95 cr. #India biz. #Boxoffice.”

“Released alongside #Hollywood giant #KingdomOfThePlanetOfTheApes, the makers of #Srikanth didn’t resort to #Buy1Get1 [#BOGO] free ticket offer on *Day 1* or over the weekend, unlike some films that released in April… A commendable move! Going forward, #Srikanth needs to stay strong on the crucial Day 4 [Mon]… The hold on Monday will determine if it has strong legs or not.”

Srikanth is based on the indomitable spirit of Srikanth Bolla, an industrialist who defied all odds to carve his own path to success despite facing visual impairment. Directed by Tushar Hiranandani, the film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar and Nidhi Parmar Hiranandani.

Besides Rajkummar Rao, Srikanth also stars Jyothika, Alaya F and Sharad Kelkar. Previously, in an exclusive conversation with News18 Showsha, Alaya opened up about working with Rajkummar for the first time and said, “He’s just so in character – he’s so invested in acting. It’s incredible. I mean, it’s a masterclass watching him do what he does. He’s also really, really sweet, kind, and a lovely person. So, it was great working with him!”

Srikanth opened to mostly positive reviews. News18 Showsha gave 3.5 stars to the Tushar Hiranandani directorial. “Srikanth completely rests on Rajkummar Rao’s shoulder. The actor has put himself outside his comfort zone to ace the nuances of the character. However, due to the screenplay’s lack of depth, the actor looked like he was hamming in a few scenes in the second half. I wish the second half was tackled a lot better because the film could be bigger than it already is. Another issue I had with the film was the length of Alaya F’s role. She seamlessly fits into the film but the film doesn’t explore her role,” the review read.
