Bigg Boss OTT winner Elvish Yadav has been asked to appear before Noida police to join the probe in the ‘snake venom rave’ case. Sources, however, told CNN-News18 that the case against the popular YouTuber is weak.
The FIR has been registered on the basis of a third-party sting operation, they said.
Police tried to recover evidence but, according to sources, no proof has been found to establish Yadav’s links with any cartel dealing with snakes or related things.
Officials have called Yadav to join the probe as Rahul Singh, who is among five people arrested in the case and in judicial custody, claims that he and the social media star were involved in a deal. Investigators want the two to be brought in front of each other.
The station house officer (SHO) from Noida’s sector 49 was shifted because an FIR was registered without a probe, said the sources.
Authorities recovered snakes and snake venom from a rave party in Noida on Thursday night. Police arrested five people in the matter. On questioning, the accused claimed that they used to supply snakes to parties organised by Elvish Yadav.
