They enter the mini-auction after releasing notable names like Joe Root, Jason Holder and will pay attention to finding suitable replacements with three overseas slots left. A struggling Devdutt Padikkal in the middle order has been traded off to LSG.

The Royals, led by Sanju Samson has allies in the form of English skipper Jos Buttler, swashbuckling opener Yashasvi Jaiswal and the powerful Shimron Hetmyer to name a few. Trent Boult has lead the pace attack with his sheer consistency and accuracy. Yuzvendra Chahal always manages to outfox the batters with his variations. However, the find for them last year was Dhruv Jurel.
Hailing from Uttar Pradesh, Jurel had an awesome season with the bat, as he emerged as a reliable finisher capable of winning matches.
With the experience of Ravichandran Ashwin, Royals have a potent bowling attack. They have to strengthen the batting unit which has not fired on all cylinders, despite boasting of few big names. Royals were unsure of who their four overseas players would be last season and they will try to clear that confusion this time around.
