‘Repeated Risk Of Nitish's U-Turns': Tejashwi Yadav Asks BJP To Get 'Insurance' For NDA Govt In Bihar
Yadav attacked the BJP and said that they keep toppling state governments, but how will they "buy the public", adding that the citizens will respond

Taking a swipe at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav on Sunday suggested the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to get insurance for the NDA government in the state citing the JDU chief’s history of repeated U-turns.

Addressing the ‘Jan Vishwas Rally’ at the Gandhi Maidan in Patna, the RJD leader said that BJP keeps saying ‘Modi Ki Guarantee’, but who will take the guarantee of Nitish Kumar?

He slammed the saffron party over “nepotism” allegations while questioning the presence of Samrat Choudhary, Ram Vilas Paswan’s brother in the BJP. “..Manjhi’s son has been made minister, it doesn’t look like any nepotism to them,” Yadav added.

“Due to the U-turn taken by Nitish Kumar, it seems that the state government should get its insurance done. They say Modi ki Guarantee, but who will take the guarantee of Nitish Kumar,” the RJD leader further said.

Referring to his “uncle” Nitish Kumar, Yadav hoped that he remains “happy wherever he is”, even though he has turned away from them. However, he pointed at the ’employment means Nitish Kumar’ posters in Patna and said, “From whom did you first hear about 10 lakh jobs? We respect and honour Nitish Kumar because he is our uncle but he is getting posters up in Patna that employment means Nitish Kumar.”

In between this, Yadav thanked and hailed the grand old Congress party for supporting RJD during tough times.

He slammed the Bihar chief minister and said that he had question RJD’s promise of providing jobs, saying “This is the same Nitish Kumar when we had promised jobs, he had asked from where will we get them.”

Yadav also highlighted his party’s work and said that during its tenure, caste census was done, reservation limit was expanded. He said, “During out tenure, we got the caste census done, got the reservation limit increased by 75 per cent, and increased the reservation limit for extremely backward people by 24 per cent. We did the work in Bihar which was not done in the country since independence.”

He said that his party, R in RJD stands for ‘Rise’, J for ‘Job’ and D for ‘Development’. He further asserted that while some claim that the RJD is a party of the M-Y (Muslim and Yadav), it is in fact a party of the M-Y and BAAP, where B stands for ‘Bahujan’, A for ‘Agda’ (upper caste), A for ‘Aadhi Aabadi’ (women) and P for poor.

Again, launching a scathing attack at the BJP, Yadav said that though they keeping toppling the state governments, how will they “buy the public”.

The public will respond, he said, adding that, “Some people have bowed their knees in front of Modiji but I am proud of my father (Lalu Prasad Yadav), he fought many times but never bowed down. When Laluji is not afraid, will his son be afraid?”

He hailed the ‘Mahagathbandhan government’ and said what it did in the last 17 months in the state, Nitish Kumar — who joined hands with the BJP — could not do that in the last 17 years.

In fact, he even pulled out a Hrithik Roshan song reference to hit out at the Bihar chief minister. He referred to the Bollywood song ‘Idhar Chala Main Udhar Chala’ and said, “Nitish chacha (uncle) does something like this and frequently changes sides.”

Further, Tejashwi Yadav maintained that he will fight the battle till the very end, saying that this is the ‘fight of ideology’.

Yadav also hit out at the summons that are being received by the INDIA bloc leaders. “Sometimes Rahul Gandhi is set summons and now when there is an alliance in Uttar Pradesh, CBI is going after Akhilesh Bhai. No matter how big a corrupt person is, if he goes into the BJP washing machine, he gets cleaned. But now BJP has become a dustbin where every party’s waste is going into it,” he said.

In attendance at the rally were several opposition leaders, including Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav.

Akhilesh Yadav, in his comment, said “On one hand, Uttar Pradesh is giving the slogan of ’80 harao’, Bihar is also raising the slogan of ’40 harao’. What will happen to BJP if both UP and Bihar make them lose 120 seats… In 2024, ‘Samvidhaan Manthan’ is going to take place.”

“On one side, there are the protectors of the Constitution and on the other side, there are the destroyers of the Constitution,” Akhilesh added.
