New Delhi: The BJP demanded the convening of a joint session of Parliament to enact a legislation for protecting reservations for OBCs in higher educational institutions.
BJP national secretary S Thirunavukkarasar told reporters here that the Congress had not handled the issue properly, adding steps for implementing the OBC quota in educational institutions should have been started a year ago.
India should not supply arms to Sri Lanka as "innocent Tamils will be killed by the Sri Lankan Army", he said.
On the Cauvery issue, he said unlike Karnataka, where all parties were united in their approach, political parties in Tamil Nadu had different opinions.
The BJP would win more seats than other parties in the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, he claimed.
