The Bharatiya Janata Party on Friday said the Congress may have stepped up its attack on Narendra Modi but all these have made him "more popular" among the masses. "In spite of its efforts to diminish Modi's popularity, Congress has not succeeded in its goal. The more it creates hurdles for him, the more popular he becomes," BJP national vice president Vinay Katiyar said in Mathura.
Criticising the "hypocrisy" of the Congress-led UPA on the issue of VIPs visiting flood-ravaged Uttarakhand, he said while Congress has criticised Modi for visiting the hill state, it defended party vice president Rahul Gandhi's Uttarakhand visit.
