Krushna Abhishek is known for his wide range of talents such as mimicry, ability to cosplay and unmatched comedic timing. It goes without saying that Krushna has inherited the show-biz talents from his family.

Krushna Abhishek, born Abhishek Sharma, is one of the best-known comedians and television personalities in India. Ever since his film debut in 2002, he has appeared in some of the most popular comedy shows in India. Krushna is known for his wide range of talents such as mimicry, ability to cosplay and unmatched comedic timing. It goes without saying that Krushna has inherited the show-biz talents from his family.

Actor Govinda is his maternal uncle, while actor Arun Kumar Ahuja was his maternal grandfather, and singer Nirmala Devi was his maternal grandmother. In 2013, he married his long-time girlfriend Kashmera Shah, an actor. They have two twin sons together.

The actor and comedian is celebrating his 41st birthday on May 30. To mark this special occasion, let’s take a look at his career timeline:

  1. Krushna started his career with the Tamil film Enge Enadhu Kavithai and the Hindi film Yeh Kaisi Mohabbat, both of which were released on May 31, 2002.
  2. After working in a number of Bhojpuri films, he got the lead role in Sautela, a 2007 show on Doordarshan.
  3. His big break came with the popular stand-up comedy show, Comedy Circus.
  4. He took part in many seasons of the show from 2008 to 2014 and won the top prize in six of them. This propelled him to nationwide fame.
  5. In 2016, he hosted the Comedy Nights Live show on Colors TV, as a replacement for Comedy Nights with Kapil.
  6. Two years later in 2018, he joined the cast of The Kapil Sharma Show and got much acclaim for playing Sapna Laal Sharma, Kapil Sharma’s sister.
  7. In 2020, worked as the primary cast of Funhit Mein Jaari, a SAB TV comedy show. He worked alongside his long-time collaborator Bharti Singh. The show ran for 120 episodes from August 2020 to January 2021.
  8. Meanwhile, he continued hosting History TV18’s Infotainment show OMG! Ye Mera India from 2016. So far he has hosted 10 seasons of OMG! Yeh Mera India, with the latest one released in February this year.
  9. Throughout his career Krushna has appeared on a number of reality shows as a participant alongside his wife. The couple first appeared on Nach Baliye (Season 3) in 2007 and later joined Kabhi Kabhii Pyaar Kabhi Kabhii Yaar in 2008, which they won. They also participated in the reality show Love Lock Up on UTV Bindass in February 2011.
  10. Currently, he is a part of Netflix’s The Great Indian Kapil Show, which follows the same format as that of Sharma’s former sketch comedy shows like The Kapil Sharma Show and Comedy Nights with Kapil.
