‘Made In Mars’: Internet In Splits As Man Receives Pressure Cooker 2 Years After Cancelling Order
Despite cancelling the order and receiving a refund, the item mysteriously showed up at his doorstep nearly two years later.

In recent years, online shopping has revolutionised our purchasing habits, offering unparalleled speed and convenience. Same-day or rapid delivery has become standard for many e-commerce platforms, but not every experience matches these advancements. Jay, a customer who recently shared his unexpected experience on X (formerly Twitter), received a package from Amazon that left him both amused and puzzled. Jay revealed that he had ordered a pressure cooker on October 1, 2022. However, despite cancelling the order and receiving a refund, the item mysteriously showed up at his doorstep nearly two years later, on August 28, 2024.

Expressing his bemusement, Jay wrote, “Thank you Amazon for delivering my order after 2 years. The cook is elated after the prolonged wait, must be a very special pressure cooker!”

His post quickly caught the attention of Amazon’s customer service, which responded with an apology and a request to report the issue through their support team link.

“Hi there, we’re sorry to hear this. Kindly report this to our support team using this link: https://amzn.to/3JT9ckz. -Alexandra,” Amazon Help wrote.

In a humourous reply, Jay questioned what exactly needed reporting, given that the order was cancelled and refunded years ago.

“Report what? The order was cancelled and refunded back in 2022? And delivered out of nowhere yesterday. How do I pay for it now?” Jay wrote.

Jay’s post became a hub of excitement, sparking a wave of humourous reactions from social media users. Take a look:

One witty user commented, “This pressure is putting more pressure on Amazon support team now.”

Another added, “Was under so much pressure that it went for long term therapy before getting shipped.”

Someone humorously questioned, “Bhai isme kya banaoge pehle? Ya phir museum me Dene ka soch rahe ho? Brother, what are you planning to cook in this first? Or you will donate this in a museum?).”

Jay, joining in the fun, replied, “Fridge mey dekh raha hu, do saal purana kuch hai kya (I’m checking in fridge to see if there is anything that is two years old in there).”

Another user joked, “I think your order is coming from parallel universe so it took 2 years to reach it to you.”

The streak of hilarious comments continued with remarks like “Must be Hand crafted by very skilled craftsmen,” “Delivered under pressure,” and “Must be imported from alien’s.”

One user humorously speculated, “must be ‘made in Mars’.”
