His lightning-quick 71 off just 32 balls set Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on fire, igniting their innings with a flurry of boundaries and sixes. The left-hander’s blistering form this season has been nothing short of sensational, keeping fans glued to their screens in anticipation of his next big knock.

Meanwhile, Narine’s opening partner, Phil Salt, joined the party with a scintillating 72 off 37 balls, forming a formidable 138-run partnership for the opening wicket. However, Punjab Kings’ spinner Rahul Chahar broke the partnership, dismissing Narine in the 11th over, a crucial breakthrough in the game. Sam Curran, standing in as Punjab’s skipper, struck soon after, sending Salt back to the pavilion.

Despite the setbacks, Venkatesh Iyer and Andre Russell steadied KKR’s ship, guiding them past the 200-run mark. But Punjab’s Arshdeep Singh intervened, removing Russell just when he seemed to pose the biggest threat. KKR captain Shreyas Iyer then blazed a quickfire 28 off 10 balls before falling victim to Arshdeep Singh’s prowess.
Rinku Singh’s bat remained silent, falling to Harshal Patel in the final over, while Venkatesh Iyer fell victim to a run-out on the last delivery of the innings. However, it was the openers’ onslaught that propelled KKR to a massive total of 261/6 in their allotted 20 overs.

However, KKR’s massive total wasn’t enough to deter Punjab Kings, as Jonny Bairstow’s explosive century and Shashank Singh’s unbeaten 68-run innings powered them to the highest T20 run-chase, sealing victory with 10 balls to spare in a truly remarkable fashion.
