Watch: Woman Shoots Foam Dart At Husband To Keep Him Awake During Childbirth

Pregnancy is one of the toughest phases of a woman’s life as she bears immense pain to give birth to a child. Many men are also there besides their wives to provide them with moral and psychological support, but even that becomes too much for them to handle. In this context, a humorous clip is doing the rounds of the internet. The video shared on Instagram by a social media influencer named Shelly Tomer shows her holding a baby in her arms at the hospital. She is wearing a maternity ward dress gown and her hand has been carefully bandaged. She then takes out a toy gun and fires a dart at her husband sleeping in a corner on a bed. Shelly’s husband wakes up and smiles at her. The video hilariously implies that how husbands should never have the audacity to sleep when their wives have gone through the tough task of giving birth. “The Best thing I kept in my hospital bag," she writes in the caption. This clip has garnered more than 89 million views and counting.

Social media users appreciated the clip and one of them commented, “Let him sleep he just gave birth." Another humorously recounted an incident where his wife used to poke her with a hand-shaped stick that he had given to her for scratching. Another user wrote, “Haha much needed..as husband sleeps and never wakes up."

In a similar incident from 2020, a woman posted a photo from her hospital bed on Facebook, in which she is shown gripping a NERF gun (toy gun used to fire darts and balls). In her caption, the woman called it a “Mom Hack," implying that she uses the gun to shoot foam bullets at her husband to wake him up when he is sleeping.

Meanwhile, she is enduring labour pain to give birth to a newborn child. In an interview with the Romper media portal, the lady explained what led her to pack the toy gun. Turns out, the woman’s husband wasn’t exactly helpful the last few times when she gave birth to their 11 and 5-year-old kids.
