Ganga Expressway to be Completed by End of 2024, Here's What UP CM Says
The UP CM Yogi Aditya has chaired a high-level meeting, asking the details about the project. He has announced the completion of the Ganga Expressway by the end of 2024.

In a move to uplift the traveling infrastructure in Uttar Pradesh, the government is gearing up to kickstart four new link expressways in the state. Among all, the Ganga Expressway is already on the verge of being completed.

The UP CM Yogi Aditya has chaired a high-level meeting with the concerned authorities, asking the details about the same. He has announced the completion of the Ganga Expressway by the end of this year.

Connectivity

Once completed, it will connect Farrukhabad and Jewar Airport, while the proposed line expressways will connect the Purvanchal Expressway and Agra-Lucknow Expressway.

The Ganga Expressway will be the country’s third-longest project. I will be spread across a massive area of 594 km, connecting Up’s eastern and western parts. It will also serve as the key road for the general public, who will be visiting Prayagraj for the 2025 Kumbh Festival.

The expressway is expected to cut down the travel time between Meerut and Prayagraj by five hours. Currently, it takes around 11 hours to cover the distance on the route.

Other Proejcts

The other two remaining proposed projects are scheduled to be constructed soon and will be known as the Chitrakoot Link Expressway and the Gorakhpur Link Expressway.

The former will be a 14-km long four-lane expressway, which will start from Bundelkhand Expressway and will end at NH-135 BG.  The latter will be a 91 km long, 4-lane wide expressway. It will connect Jaitpur village in Gorakhpur’s NH-27 with Salarpur village on Purvanchal Expressway in Azamgarh district.
