'Recovery Well': IND-Star Rishabh Pant Sends His Wishes for Afghanistan's Injury-hit Ibrahim Zadran in Viral Post on Social Media
Rishabh Pant sent his wishes to Ibrahim Zadran who has undergone surgery for his ankle injury prior to Afghanistan's Test against New Zealand.

As Afghanistan batter, Ibrahim Zadran officially confirmed that he has undergone a successful surgery for his ankle, it was none other than Rishabh Pant who came in and sent his best wishes for the star batter on social media.

Zadran who plays a key role in Afghanistan’s batting unit, was ruled out of the washed-out Test against New Zealand in Greater Noida due to the injury which was picked up during the final practice session.

India’s wicketkeeping star, Rishabh Pant who knows a thing or two about coming back from injuries, shared his piece of advice with the Afghanistan batter in two short but simple words.

‘Recovery well.” said Pant who replied to Zadran’s post on X (formerly known as Twitter)

The Indian wicketkeeper batter has had his fair share of battles with injuries and it was likely his strong recovery work which has allowed him to seamlessly transition back into international cricket without any major hiccups.

Pant made his return to Test cricket during the recently concluded game against Bangladesh in Chennai. He made a statement on his return by scoring a swashbuckling century in the second innings of the game to give India an insurmountable lead.

Now with the wicketkeeper-batter having made his return in all three formats, he will hope that he continues his stellar form with the bat and contributes to the team.

He will likely be in action for the second Test against Bangladesh in Kanpur beginning from September 27 through to October 1.

Pant will also be likely to be a part of the Indian setup for the coming Test series against New Zealand for a three-match affair followed by the 5-match series against Australia later on in November.

Despite the lack of Zadran’s presence in the side, Afghanistan continue to impress taking on some of the top sides as they beat South Africa 2-1 in a three-match series in Sharjah.
