Aditi Rao Hydari Says Ranbir Kapoor 'Can Convince You Of Anything': 'He's One Of My Favourite Actors'
Bollywood actor Aditi Rao Hydari, who is seen in Heeramandi, recently talked about her working experience with Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor.

Bollywood actor Aditi Rao Hydari recently talked about working with Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor. She is currently seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi and praised him, having also been in his film Padmavat. In an interview with Humans of Bombay, Aditi said that a love story with Mani Ratnam had been wrapped up by her, and three days later, Sanjay’s set was where she found herself. She described it as incredible and overwhelming.

Aditi said, “I finished shooting a love story with Mani Ratnam and three days later, I was on Sanjay’s set. I walked onto the set and of course, I was mesmerised because it was just like, ‘What is this world?’ Incredible. I was very overwhelmed.”

Her first scene on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s set was with Ranveer Singh, whom she has known since their early days in the industry. “Ranveer said to me, ‘Adu, you know you’re living the dream, right?’ Moving from Mani Ratnam’s set to Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s set, he shook me, and I realised, ‘You’re right, you’re right.’ It was really, really incredible’.”

Aditi also opened up about her experience working with Ranbir Kapoor in Rockstar, Aditi was equally effusive. “But working with Ranbir was mad. He’s incredible, so incredible. He’s one of my favourite actors and he’s so present. He can convince you of anything.”

Helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the series was released on May 1 on Netflix. In a recent chat with IANS, Aditi spoke about working with Sanjay and said, “I am very protective of him. I feel he is very precious, and he should just be protected. For me, it’s a huge blessing and a blessing from him… With Bibbojaan and Heeramandi, I felt I have got more time with a person that I respect and love. I got to live a full life. I just got to be around a genius and absorb. And you know one, two, or three times are not enough with directors like Sanjay. It’s addictive, you want to keep working with him… Whatever role he calls me for, I know it will be something special.”

She also talked about her experience working with Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan in Bejoy Nambiar’s film Wazir. She called it an amazing opportunity and said, “I was literally jumping up and down when I was told that I would be doing Wazir. I never thought I would get an opportunity to work with him. It was incredible to be around him. I can’t even describe how insane it was. He has this presence… as soon as he walks into a room, you feel like standing up,” she shared during a conversation with Humans of Bombay. She added, “But he’s also got this amazing childlike excitement when he’s on the set. He was on a wheelchair throughout that film, and he used to whir around on it on the set. It was just so amazing to see him like that.”
