BTS Star Jin's Super Tuna Extended Version Becomes UK Chart-Topper
With the success of Super Tuna, BTS star Jin now boasts two top 10 solo hits on the UK chart.

Later this fall, Jin will make his mark as the final BTS member to drop a solo album. The K-pop sensation recently delighted fans by announcing his debut project, Happy, which is set to release in just a few weeks. Before this exciting news, Jin surprised his audience with an extended version of his popular solo single, Super Tuna. Originally loved by fans upon its release years ago, the re-release has seen a surge in popularity, turning the playful track into a massive hit once again.

This week, Super Tuna made a splash in the UK, landing in the top 10 on two different charts. It’s a bestseller in the region, debuting on both the Official Singles Downloads chart and the Official Singles Sales tally. On both charts, Super Tuna made its entry near the same position, securing the No. 9 spot on the Downloads chart and coming in just below at No. 10 on the Sales tally, reports Forbes.

With the success of Super Tuna, Jin now boasts two top 10 solo hits on these UK rankings. This latest success doubles his total top 10 placements, marking another career milestone for the BTS star.

Watch it here:

Back in late 2022, Jin’s track The Astronaut had made its debut on these same charts, landing an impressive No. 2 spot on both sales-driven lists. Though it didn’t reach the top, it was a standout release for Jin and proved his solo potential.

While Super Tuna may be making its debut on the UK charts, the song itself isn’t exactly new. Jin first dropped the track in 2021 and despite its light-hearted, fun nature, it quickly became a fan favourite. The recent re-release has reignited that love, helping the song climb to new heights as Jin’s dedicated fanbase continues to support his solo endeavours.

This week, Jin’s Super Tuna stands as the third-highest debut on the charts. It trails behind Marti Pellow’s re-recording of Love is All Around, which features a choir of breast cancer survivors and has claimed the No. 1 spot. Just ahead of Jin is Blackpink’s Jennie, whose track Mantra opened at No. 3.
