Randeep Hooda Wins Lawsuit Over False Illegal Construction Allegations Near Kanha National Park: Report
Randeep Hooda has emerged victorious in a lawsuit against him, that accused him of illegal construction on his property in Kanha National Park.

Indian actor and wildlife conservationist Randeep Hooda, lauded by both the UN and the Indian Government for his conservation efforts, has achieved a significant legal victory. The Madhya Pradesh High Court in Jabalpur has granted Hooda’s request for a joint spot inspection inquiry to address accusations of illegal construction on his property in Kanha National Park. Furthermore, Hooda’s legal team has initiated a defamation suit for Rs. 80 crores against the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) for allegedly making false and defamatory statements against him.

Following his last film ‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar,’ actor-director and wildlife conservationist Randeep Hooda fulfilled his dream of living close to nature by purchasing land near Kanha National Park in Madhya Pradesh. Shortly afterward, revenue authorities claimed constructions existed on his property and instructed their removal. In response, Hooda filed a plea for a joint inspection, asserting that no such constructions were present.

The Madhya Pradesh Court granted relief to Hooda by ordering a joint inspection, where he or his representatives could participate to prove the absence of constructions. While the court didn’t immediately address the show cause notice, it directed the authorities to provide the previous report, which was prepared without Hooda’s involvement.

Hooda’s lawyers, Vineet Dhanda and Siddharth Sharma, expressed frustration over the false allegations. They emphasized that Hooda, a respected figure and devoted nature lover, was likely being targeted due to his celebrity. The lawyers also highlighted that the inquiry report used to issue the show cause notice had not been provided to them.

They expressed gratitude to the court for providing a fair opportunity to establish the truth and for ordering the release of the previously withheld report. They are optimistic that the upcoming joint spot inspection will confirm that no construction has taken place on Hooda’s property.

Dhanda further commented that the court’s decision to mandate a re-inspection is a significant victory, as it allows all concerns to be addressed transparently. He anticipates that the new report will clearly show that no construction has occurred on Hooda’s land. Following this, they plan to proceed with a defamation case against those who wrongfully accused their client.

Meanwhile, Randeep Hooda was seen in Swatantra Veer Savarkar. Released on March 22, the film starred Randeep Hooda, Ankita Lokhande, Amit Sial, Apinderdeep Singh and Mark Bennington among others. The film was based on Vinayak Damodar Savarkar and his contribution during the Indian Independence struggle. It earned over Rs 30 crore at the Indian box office.

News18 Showsha gave the film a three-star rating and wrote, “Randeep Hooda has shouldered the film with ease. He proves that his performances in films like Sarabjit and Highway were not just flukes. Randeep gets under the skin and bones of the freedom fighter. You are spellbound with the conviction of his performance.”
