Anand Mahindra has reacted to a young boy’s complaints about the billionaire’s automobile brand not having enough arrangements for children compared to adults in showrooms. The industrialist and CEO of the Mahindra Group was tagged in a video on X in which young Advik could be heard saying, “Idhar bas elder logon ke liye kyun hota hai sab kuch? Idhar tea hain, coffee hain sab kuch hain. Idhar bachchon ke liye kuch kyun nahi hain [Why is everything only for elders over here? They have tea, coffee and everything else but why isn’t there anything for children?]”.

Soon, the CEO responded by saying, “Advik is…right, we don’t do enough to give importance to children at the showrooms. I know our team is going to be inspired to act on Advik’s suggestion!”

The post was uploaded by a user named Vikas Garg. His post was accompanied by a caption that talked about how the youth should also be considered equally influential as adults when it comes to purchasing an automobile. He wrote, “Anand Mahindra Sir – this an appeal by Master Advik, a little follower of Mahindra Auto to consider them equally influential in decision making of buying a car.” The CEO responded by saying that he was completely right in his statement. “You’re absolutely right, Vikas! Today, the voices & opinions of children are hugely influencing which car a family chooses to buy,” Anand Mahindra said.

Several reactions have now poured in on Anand Mahindra’s reply with most of them agreeing with the billionaire. A user wrote, “And that’s why almost all the commercials are targeting kids as customers”. Another individual seemed to agree as he wrote, “Child only decides which brand model [to buy] nowadays”. One more user wrote, “Agree with you sir ji. Most of the time kids play a vital role in car purchasing even colour style and interior also”. “One of my neighbours bought a xuv700 since his son liked it a lot. Kids are an important part of decision-making”, read another reply. A person quoted the example of Hyundai saying, “A small dedicated play area for kids was initiated by Hyundai in 2008-10.”

Anand Mahindra was one of the notable attendees at the pre-wedding festivities of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant in Jamnagar. The chairperson of Mahindra and Mahindra was seen enjoying a range of performances at the gala event among others.
